The electricity supply interruption will only impact the highlighted areas on the map.

Please note that the outage duration is an estimation and restoration could be delayed due to the complex nature of the high voltage infrastructure work. Our teams will work as quickly as possible to complete the work within the communicated time.

Please note:

Residents are scheduled to experience electricity supply interruptions on 8 and 15 March 2025, as well as on 5 April 2025. However, the area is exempt from Eskom’s load-shedding from 24 February 2025 until further notice due to the planned high voltage upgrade work.

Should the power not be restored within communicated timeframes, residents are advised to check the City’s official communication channels, including the City’s social media channels, or contact the Call Centre before logging a service request in relation to the planned upgrade work.

It is important to note that the supply interruption will only impact the area within the border on the map. Please switch off appliances and inverters ahead of the power being restored to reduce the chance of system overload and tripping.

The electricity supply could be restored at any time and customers must please treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the interruption.
